Bad Leaders: Abraham Lincoln Or George Washington

Leaders they are there to help guide us in time of need. Leaders have roles or certain traits about them some good others bad. Leaders could be very good motivators and get their groups self esteem up. Some leaders have bad traits like never being open to new idea, say you are a leader with all of the power over your group you tend to get greedy and not want anyone else to help you lead. Although there is not that many bad leaders, but some bad leaders still have followers who still try to pursue his or her message. Although there are bad leaders there are still some very good leaders like Abraham Lincoln, or George Washington. Two things both of these had in common was being a very good motivator. George Washington motivated his whole
entire army to go across a frozen river in the winter. That takes a very good leader to do. This could be important to student leader by letting them motivate their group to do good to the world, maybe donate, volunteer there are so many choices. In addition, they also need to be able to get the message across. Say the school the leader goes to is cutting down a tree, if the leader gets the message across to the principal that they are not going to cut down the tree chances are your tree will not be cut down. Another example is when Rosa parks and Martin Luther King Jr stood up against the majority to stop treating African Americans differently. These leaders spent time in jail to get the message across, after the majority realized they weren't going to stop they just gave up and did not try to stop it.
Lastly, a leader should try to stay open to idea. Like mentioned in the first paragraph leaders should always be open to new ideas. Although morbid Hitler is a good example, he was not open to the idea of the Jews believing in what they wanted to. Hitler would not accept the idea of that so he eventually fell and lost the war.
In conclusion leaders should be open to ideas, be good motivators and should be able to get a message across. Although there is not many bad leaders they still exist and ruin lives on the daily. If you ever become a student leader make sure you have these roles so you can keep your role as leader.
