Ban Zoos Research Paper
Appealing to the government that why zoos and factory farming should be ban

Welcome, and thanks for being here today. I’d like to discuss a very important issue “why zoos and factory farming should be ban”. Today I am here to talk at behave of the animals who can’t talk, and can’t stand for their own right. Government should ban zoos because there are many ways for people to entertain or observe animals. Instead of going to a zoo, you can learn about animals by watching nature documentaries or observing the animals in their own natural habitats.

I know you all think zoos are safe place for animals, society have painted a perfect image of it, society calls the zoo a paradise for animals but NO, in reality they will be more safer in forests, in their own habitat only if we not hurt or hunt them there.

(Balance sentence). Imagine how would you feel if you were a mammal, how would you feel if you forced to live at different habitat, how would you feel everyday people see you suffer, how would you feel having cameras flashing in your face all day,(parallel sentence structure/Repetition) feel bad right? Why are we so selfish? We use these innocent animals for our own amusement; we are not living at Dark Age any more. We should stop animals torturing, its being happening since 1200 BC and getting worst day by day. Did you know that every year 587 animals die due to inactivity in the zoos? Zoos provide a very small space for animals which is not enough for them to be active. A research shows that a lion that lives in the jungle can live around 29 years while the lion in the zoo can live between 12-14 years. Is it fair to capture them in zoo so just you can enjoy watching them for a minute and then leave? NO, not at all, it cost them to die 16 years earlier behind those

Throughout the years, it has been over looked whether or not the zoo really is a proper environment to keep animals. Are the animals really being cared for or are they being taken against their will? Are the animals in a comfortable environment or are they just another reason to make money? The zoo is an environment where people of all ages can explore and learn more about different species around the globe. It is safe for the visitors and also the animals themselves. The zoo is a productive and successful strategy for protecting endangered species worldwide because they provide animals with proper shelter, proper nutrition and they create fundraisers and charities to help save the animals.…

After I read the articles: The Stripes Will Survive by: Jacqueline Adams, and The Zoos Go Wild by Nicholas Nirgiotis and Theodore Nirgiotis I realized how important zoos are to animals. Firstly in the article “The Stripes Will Survive” by Jacqueline Adams it says “Make sure that threatened and endangered animal species don't disappear.” (Paragraph 4) There used to be one hundred thousand tigers roaming in the wild. Now about 5,000 tigers live in the wild. The zoo's breed these animals to make sure that they will survive. The breeding program works like a dating website for animals. They animals get matched by a computer then meet. (Paragraphs 3&5). My next reason is that zoos protect animals from hunters and poachers. “The World Wildlife Fund…

Visiting the zoo is a fun family activity that 175 million people do each year (“Zoo Statistics”). However, the animals in the zoo are treated horribly. As a kid, visiting the zoo was one of my favorite activities. I loved watching the animals and spending time with my family, but as I grew older, my joy of the zoo diminished when I realized what was happening to the animals. The mighty tiger that was once strutting across the grass is now a dreary, unhealthy animal that walks aimlessly just to pass the time. Many animals die an unnatural death because of the treatment they receive in zoos and the lack of space reserved for them. Zoos promise to bring in animals that are either endangered or unhealthy; however, a remarkable number of animals…

Zoos are like internment camps and should be shut down. Animals deserve the right to live out their lives in their natural habitat, not be the source of human entertainment. Zoos are more detrimental to animals than they are good for them, even though there are conservation efforts and educational purposes for having animals in captivity. The negative aspects far outweigh any positive effects when it comes to having animals in captivity due to poor living conditions, failure to educate, and psychological trauma.…

The 16th and 17th centuries were a time of religious upheaval and the different European countries dealt with the disturbances in various ways. The Spainish approach was to crush any dissenting views through the Spanish Inquistion and enforce conformity to the Catholic faith. England embraced the Protestant Revolution with its split with the Catholic Church and fostered many Protestant sects. The uniformity of religion in Spain led to a zealous Catholic population who were driven to convert the natives of the New World. In contrast, the religious diversity of England to persecutions and many Englishmen sought freedom in the New World. Thus, the Spanish and English colonies followed a similar pattern of conformity and diversity, respectively,…

Zoo’s are an attraction for many each year, but not enjoyed by the animals behind the steel bars and glass windows. Would being locked in a cage and have visitors looking in while pounding the glass and rumbling the bars be a day worth enjoying? Of course, not. These actions are what the animals facial and body expressions reveal to visitors taking pictures. The zoo’s guests, being excited to be there and admiring the animals, cannot place themselves on the other side. Visitors sees only how everything appears to be perfect for their viewing pleasure. Simply stated, animals should not be locked in cages. For instance, elephants that are…

Others think that the zoo is a great place to view mother nature's creatures for a reasonable price. In the excerpt, “Zoos Connect Us to the Natural World”, it states, “Only a small percentage of our nation's citizens can afford to travel to exotic locations to view wild tigers, elephants, or giant pandas”. But, that right there states wild tigers, elephants and pandas, and they are called wild animals for a reason they are supposed to be free and well wild. So instead of keeping these animals caged up we should let them be what they are meant to be and that is wild animals.…

Zoos are like animal insurance, preventing predators from being able to hunt them down. As some may say, zoos are cruel and harsh punishments for the poor little animals that happen to be on display, but zoos are nothing in comparison to the devastating, murderous reality of the forests. According to the “Why Zoos Are Good” article,”They will not suffer from the threat or stress of predators (and nor will they be killed in a grisly manner or eaten alive) or the irritation and pain of parasites, injuries and…
