Overall, Australian women did physical activity more regularly than man. It is also interesting to note that before mid-forties, the gap between the both genders’proportions expanded whereas after mid-forties, this gap became narrower as Australian people got older.
The figure for women who did regular physical activity was higher than their male counterparts in 4 out of the 6 age groups (except for 2 groups: 15-to24-year-olds and 65 or more). This differential was maximum in those aged 35 to 44 with the percentage of woman and man were 52,5% and 39,5% respectively.
