to the true facts about rape victims and embrace that the justice systems today are really is not a justice system. This magazine article introduced readers to uncommon knowledge about rape and rape suspects that have been conducted by law enforcement officers in Great Britain in 2007. The Law expects the result of a thorough investigation to be specialized by federal agency especially Sex Crimes. By not conducting what the law expects, it is not proper protocol, not only that sex crimes aren’t even reported to conduct an investigation. The law is not suppose be broken just because you have power by the government, that’s just going to make victims feel unsafe and not even go through with following reporting anything. Victims are supposed to believe that when a tragedy like this happens, they can have faith, dependability and justice in the law by police. Instead, Victims are being lied to and let down by these little mistakes that can easily be fixed just by simple consideration to victims.
It’s not fair that our justice systems tries to make people think that they try their hardest and follow the law just by pushing for reports to be made on assaults. Why should victims feel the need to make a report if they don’t get enough respect, help or treated with care? Especially if the crime has not been reported as a crime. Not only has the reports been reported as not being a crime, but it sometimes doesn’t get passed to the police to be investigated. Campbell states, No one has correlated the victim’s stories with the record of the accused rapist. She states, “They have previous records of violent offenses and sexual attacks on women”. (Campbell, 2007, pg.18). The police are not going to tell a victim that there is no way your case is going to be reported and there are many more that has not even went on file from years ago. Nor will the police inform a victim even if the suspect has previous records of assault there still is a chance your case is going to be investigated. The victim’s needs to be told the truth instead of lied to, a broken, inconsiderate, broken and a lying Justice system. Catching criminals is what the police are supposed to and don't, ant the main
issue is the law says when a crime is committed, you have to report that crime regardless of the circumstances. So why is this an exception? There is no exceptions a crime is a crime. Nothing should be justified but self defense and I this case that is not the topic or excuse. Sex Crimes has always been ignored by our administrators in prisons, hospitals, or and college campuses. So what's best for the victim is unknown today, it's like they are trapped and put aside like nothing matters. A stand needs to be made to protect our country against such foul play, illegal, and unjustified manners.
