Becoming The Secretary Of SOTA Essay

There are many reasons why I am applying to become the Secretary of SOTA, but the three most important are the leadership, the involvement, and my educational class. First, I wish to be elected the secretary of SOTA because I want to gain leadership experience. As an occupational therapist, it is essential to have leadership skills. In my career I will display leadership roles with my patients and colleagues, so it is beneficial to begin this training early. Also, in this position I will have the opportunity to become a leader for the younger classes, and this mentorship will allow me to pass along knowledge and skills that will help develop the next class of future occupational therapist. This stability will allow me to develop new ideas and plans for SOTA both for the present and years to come.
