Becoming The Secretary Of SOTA Essay
There are many reasons why I am applying to become the Secretary of SOTA, but the three most important are the leadership, the involvement, and my educational class. First, I wish to be elected the secretary of SOTA because I want to gain leadership experience. As an occupational therapist, it is essential to have leadership skills. In my career I will display leadership roles with my patients and colleagues, so it is beneficial to begin this training early. Also, in this position I will have the opportunity to become a leader for the younger classes, and this mentorship will allow me to pass along knowledge and skills that will help develop the next class of future occupational therapist. ADD SENTENCE. The last reason I wish to become the Secretary of SOTA is because of my grade level. Next year I will be a junior, and it will be my first year of occupational therapy courses. As a underclassman, I will be able to bring new and innovative ideas that will help improve SOTA, and I will be able to retain my involvement in the program for the next three years. This stability will allow me to develop new ideas and plans for SOTA both for the present and years to come. These three reasons have shown why I want to become Secretary of SOTA, and now, I will share why I would be a worthy candidate for the position. As secretary, it is important to be organized because their responsibilities include tracking dates, taking notes, and updating the SOTA website. My organizational skills are precise and systematic. In my everyday life I use calendars and to-do list, in order to complete all of my assignments and keep track of extracurricular activities.
