A high pressure situation for me happened during my last semester where I needed to catch up with my grades in psychology. I incurred a grade of 3.0. Although pressured, I overcame this with resolving to myself to get a higher grade. So i exerted more effort in my studies as in listening more during discussions and taking extra time in reviewing my lessons. My effort paid off since I was able to get a higher grade.
SKILL: Tolerance of Ambiguity
QUESTION: Give an example of a time when you had to deal with frequent and unexpected changes. What does this say about your ability to work in an ambiguous or unstructured circumstance?
ANSWER
In one of our subjects in school, we were asked to conceptualize a product. We initially thought of a product for the said project. While we have started with the actual project development we have encountered several problems with regards to the project's feasibility. So halfway through the semester we had to change to a new product. With regards to this change, it was a matter of determining the problem and immediately solving it. Now we were able to come up with a more suitable product.
SKILL: Versatility
QUESTION: In work situations, as in life, we sometimes have to compromise to make things happen. Tell me about a time when you felt it necessary to compromise your own immediate interests in order to be flexible and tolerant of another’s needs.
ANSWER
I often spend time a lot of hours surfing the internet or playing games in my pc. However, when the need arises as in during examinations or researches I would give time in doing my school work first. Eventually, I developed a balance in habitually doing school work more than spending time with pleasure. It was a matter of weighing in on what is more important and of time management as well.
