Nowadays as a sports psychologist’s role is more welcomed as part of the regular coaching staff for teams and for individual athletes. But not only that I can also educate you mental skills for increase performance. We can help you enhance confidence, focus, composure, intensity and trust in athletic performance. These prime mental skills help the athletes to improve performance and can help in other areas of sports. However this field of sports psychology improve client’s to overcome psychical or mental fears like fear of failure, fear of embarrassment and general performance stress. This is common among athletes who are professional or greatly dedicated athletes that worry too much about other people’s thoughts on them. I choose this field because I genuinely like sports and helping athletes. However the overriding reason for choosing this field is sport psychologist tend to have a lot of respect towards their work where most of the athletes believe that success is 90% mental (Peak performances sports, 2016).
