feel like you have been dishonest. In addition, by developing this social skill, it will be easy for others to understand your point of view and thoughts. These are the main reasons why I believe that sincerity is important. However, while being honest is important between human interactions, it can also lead to hurtfulness. While I believe that speaking the truth and expressing our thoughts and emotions honestly is important, I have accepted the fact that honesty can also be hurtful; however, there is a way to avoid it.
For example, when I transferred to an online school to study at my own pace, my classmates asked me if I was going to come back to my old school or not. I did not want to give them the wrong idea of why I enjoyed online school so much, so I accepted this as a great opportunity for me to be sincere; I told them about why I loved to study at my own pace and how I had skipped some grades, so it would be better for me to stay at an online school. By telling them about how much I enjoyed it, they felt good for me and we could still keep in touch. This is a great example of sincerity, as by being honest and sincere about how I felt, I avoided portraying the wrong thoughts and feeling about studying at an online school. In the end, being sincere is important not only because it is an honest way to speak, but because it can let you express your emotions and let others know how you feel. Although, while it can be hurtful, sincerity will always allow others to understand your point of view, just like my classmates did. Overall, I think that sincerity is an important social skill to develop as it helps form healthy relationships through honesty and allows others to understand your thoughts, emotions and most importantly, your point of
view.
