Bella's Swan Chapter Summary
The book mainly deals with Bella Swan becoming depressed after her vampire boyfriend and soulmate Edward Cullen leaves town because he thinks doing so will protect her from the dangers of his kind. She eventually begins to reconnect with her old childhood friend Jacob Black. Who she soon discovers is also a being involved in the supernatural. He is then forced to protect her from a enemy Vampire who wants revenge on Bella. She also tries spending more time with her old group of friends. Which include Lauren, Jessica, Eric, Katie, Tyler, Conner, Angela, Ben and Mike.

The book begins with Bella’s 18th birthday being celebrated both at school and at home. But Bella wants to forget the special occasion and pretend like it never happened. She

She gets so mad at them that she punches Paul in the face. Paul then loses control of his anger. He turns into a werewolf because of it. Jacob and Sam chase after Paul while the rest of the gang take Bella to Emily’s place. Emily is the so called “wolf girl” and she’s engaged to Sam. Later on, Bella decides to do some cliff diving to ease her boredom. She almost drowns in the water below. Jacob ends up saving her by pulling her back to shore. During Bella’s rescue from the freezing waters below, Harry Clearwater, (Charlie’s fishing buddy), has a heart attack. When Bella returns home she is shocked to see a Cullen’s car parked near the house. She then discovers that Alice has returned to Forks. Alice is shocked to see that Bella is still alive. She thought Bella was trying to kill herself by jumping off the cliff. Bella is overjoyed to see that one of the Cullens’ is back in Forks. Bella explains to Alice that it was for “recreational purposes only”. Bella tells her that Jacob Black pulled her out of the water and back to shore. Alice says she didn’t see Jacob rescue Bella. The reason for that is because Alice can’t see past his pack of mutts. Bella tells her about Victoria’s return and Laurent’s end. Later on, the phone rings and Jacob answers …show more content…
In the end, I still think it’s worth reading. Sure it’s a big book, and has over 500 pages, but It’s worth it. When Bella was trying to avoid celebrating her birthday, I think she should have just lived with it. Sure, she was technically older than Edward by a year, but that’s not a bad thing. When Edward and his family left town, I felt bad for Bella. The one person who made Forks feel completely different to her was gone. The one person she loved more than her parents was gone. When she became depressed, I was feeling sympathetic. When she found the 2 beat up motorcycles and took them to Jacob, I saw a turning point in her depression. A positive one no doubt. Once Jacob finished the bikes and took Bella out for riding lessons, I knew something was different about her. When she encountered Laurent in the meadow, I knew things were changing rapidly at that very point. Because that’s when she first saw the werewolves. When Jacob tried to jog Belle's memory involving his family legends, I remembered that was a reference to a scene in the previous book. Later on when Bella meets Emily, Emily calls Bella the “vampire girl” and Bella calls Emily the “wolf girl.” I’m thinking that was meant to be a joke. When Bella jumps off the cliff, I can see why others were saying she tried to kill herself. Who wouldn’t come to that conclusion right away? When I read that Harry Clearwater had a heart attack, I felt bad for his widowed wife

I am confused by the fact that Cinder chose to go to Europe in search for a woman instead of going to Dr. Erland. Another question I thought of while reading the book was, why would Scarlet trust a man who used to work with kidnappers, he could be lying to her. This book reminds me of Little Red Riding Hood as they both have similar characters, in both books there is a little girl, a wolf and a grandmother. I love how Meyer’s books are so similar to classic fairy tales but yet they are so different. Myer writes this book in the future where an emperor rules the whole world. A question I have for the Mrs. Meyer is, what made her think of changing the government from a democratic government to a monarchy. Overall I love this book and I can’t wait to finish it. I just hope it isn’t a cliffhanger like the previous book,…

Bella often times feels like the happiest “person” alive throughout the beginning of this portion and is highly discouraged when Alice sees a vision of the Volturi coming to kill the Cullens because they believe that Renesmee is an immortal child. Alice and Jasper leave and tell the family to find as many witnesses as possible. Alice also leaves behind clues for Bella that are used to find J. Jenks, a man who is highly acquainted with the Cullen family and is willing to make illegal passports, birth certificates, and a driver’s license for Jacob and Renesmee. The plan is to pack a backpack full of these items and money for Renesmee, and when the Volturi are distracted the two will flee. Bella is constantly saddened by the possibility of loss in her family, however when Eleazar, one of the witnesses, reveals that she is a shield, she practices her power with all her might in hopes of mastering it enough to keep her, her family, and the witnesses they had found safe. When the time comes for the Volturi to strike, Bella uses the strong anger and passion for others within as her source for the…

It had humor, real life events, sadness, and suspense. I would most definitely recommend this novel to someone because although it’s very long, you won’t want to stop reading it. This book will make you wonder, cry, even laugh. It’s a book that I think had great meaning and was put together very well. In my opinion, there is no flaws about this book except how long it is.…

The main character, and the protagonist is Orasmyn. Throughout the book, he was faced with many challenges from other characters in the book, after making the most influential mistakes of his life. Also, his father, the king, is another major character, but he is both for and against Orasmyn. He tries to help him, but he does not know that he is trying to kill his own son. Another important character, that is briefly described in the traveler. This is a very significant character, because without him, Orasmyn would never have met Belle. Having now finished the story, i would like to say that my overall impression about the book hasn't changed much, it was still a dry and boring book with a plot line that didn't seem to climax much at all but instead had a steady pace with a litte bump here or there. Many will say that they hated the end of the book but I think the book was ended like that with a certain purpose in mind, to make us think what was this book about and why did it end like this?…

The book starts off with the suicide of Charlie's good friend Michael at the end of eighth grades, which breaks Charlie's friend group leaving him alone to start his freshman year of high school. Charlie said, "So this is my life. And I want you to know that I am both happy and sad and I'm still trying to figure out how that can be (2)." Charlie is confused and he isn't exactly sure how to feel. He is going through a rough time after losing one of his only friends. As Charlie starts high school he doesn't like it; he isn't able to find the right group friend yet and he feels like a loner. After about a month of school Charlie meets Sam and Patrick at the school football game and he realizes that Sam is very attractive. "Incidentally, Sam has brown hair and very very pretty green eyes. the kind of green that doesn't make a big deal about itself (19)." When Charlie first met Sam he knew instantly that he loved her. But she knew it wouldn't work out not because Charlie was too young but because he wasn't "there". Meaning he doesn't take action for things he wants to do, he just sits back and listens. "Charlie, don't you get it? I can't feel that. It's sweet and everything, but it's like you not even there sometimes. It's great you that you can listen and be a shoulder to someone, but what about when someone doesn't need a shoulder. What if they need arms or something like that? You can't just sit there and put everybody's lives ahead of yours and call it love. You just can't. You have to do things"(200). At the end of the book Charlie realizes he needs to…

There were two main problems in the story. The first problem was throughout the whole book. It’s a man vs self conflict because both Bella and Edward knew that they shouldn’t be in a relationship because Edward feels that he is placing Bella's life in danger and Bella is also being pulled away from Edward by her human life(e.g. her dad, friends). However, despite the disapproval of those around them, Bella and Edward take the risk of pursuing a relationship. The second problem was closer to the end, and it’s more dangerous than the previous one. It’s a man vs man conflict because James, a very murderous vampire, who spots Bella at the Cullen’s baseball game and he decides to hunt her down for fun. The Cullens do everything in their power to…
