Benefits Of Middle School
Middle school has its ups and its downs, we have good teachers and bad teachers. My teachers that I’ve had are different then my elementary school because in middle school they teach you lessons, and they also prepare us for life’s adventure. We all have different learning types and different ways of remembering things for a test. For example: visual, hands-on, and auditory. In my experience I would definitely chose middle school over elementary school because we get to wear fun things and you have to wear uniforms in elementary. Middle school is fun because we are going to go on different trips that take more responsibility. …show more content…

I also miss all the nice teachers and the fact that we could go outside for recess and get to run around, play, and socialize. People have also said that middle school is really tough and that you would lose a lot of friends that you were really close to. Which I have lost a lot of friends, but my true friends stayed with me. Middle school can be tough at times but I can get through it and for the most part school is quite easy. My personal experiences with middle school certainly aren’t the best. They aren’t the best because there have been fights between really good friends and they aren’t friends anymore. There has been a lot of things

Ever since I was a child, I was messy with my school work and maybe even with non-school related things too. I was very unorganized and with that came grades that were not acceptable to my parents and, looking more into the future, college. My mother would beg me to start becoming more organized and neat but I would not listen to her. When I started middle school, she heard about a program called AVID that supposedly helped students become more organized, helps you take notes, and helped them look into college and the future. As soon as she realized what the program was for she immediately put me in it. I took the program for all my three years in middle school and my experience, it worked. Thanks to my mother and, of course, the program she…

One of the major benefits of year-round school is that it aids students in a way that they can increase their overall grade. Students are less likely to forget what they have previously learned in school due to the lack of large breaks in the school year. Most importantly, there is more time. More time for school means more time can be devoted to each unit or section of material a teacher is covering. Less pressure to learn information in two weeks or even a month can help students apply their new knowledge to the long-term memory and gives more time for student to comprehend ideas in a more complex manor.…

Many people believe that the best way for students to be taught nowadays is through year-round schooling. This idea would break off from the traditional way of having nine months of school and three months of summer. Instead, the school would have a certain number of days, which is then followed by a long break. This would last year round and there would be no big summer break. The length of the school portions and break portions would be determined by the school; some more common calendar setups include but are not limited to periods consisting of thirty days of school followed by fifteen days of break, sixty days of school with twenty days of break, or ninety days off school and thirty days of break. In larger schools, they could use the…

According to a study conducted by EducationNext, “moving to middle school leads to a substantial drop in student test scores in the first year of the transition, and the relative achievement of middle-school students continues to decline in the subsequent years they spend in such schools.” One aspect of the educational system that I think can be vastly improved is middle school. Although middle schoolers are faced with numerous challenges, the middle school curriculum does not allow students to explore their interests and more importantly, doesn't challenge students enough. In middle school, there is not a lot of advanced coursework that students can complete. This is why I believe that middle school students should have the opportunity to take a more strenuous curriculum by allowing them to take high school classes, as this system will give students the curriculum that they need to succeed and it will give them an abundance of time to explore their interests.…

High school classes might have seemed better in the past compared to college. You might feel more comfortable in smaller classes than you would heading off to university, but that is simply from the comfort of your surroundings. You are familiar with your teachers and your closest friends are always by your side. This might create a friendlier environment, but branching away from the only things you have ever known will help you grow as an individual. Leaving home to start your life as an adult can be tough; however, learning every day responsibilities and making new relationships are two things that will benefit anyone who is getting ready to enter the “real world.” Students benefit more from college classes over high school classes because they learn responsibilities and create new relationships which help them to gain independence.…

Schooling is one of the most important key concepts of anyone’s lives. Going to school and getting good grades depends on how well your future will be. If I could plan my ideal school, I would make it to where we go to school all year and then get a 3 or 4 month break, I would start school at a later time, depending on age and grade, one last thing I would change are the ways of extra curricular activities, like when they take place and how they take place.…

When students move from elementary to middle school, they face numerous social challenges. For example, middle schools are often much larger, and students may find themselves separated from their elementary school friends. They have to make new friends in a strange, unfamiliar setting. Also, instead of having one teacher, students have five to seven different teachers a day. That is a lot of new people to get used to.…

Throughout my years of middle school, I have had much success in completing my goals and setting myself up for a successful future. By practicing organization and completing homework well and on time, I have been able to complete many things that I have put my mind to. Through doing these things, I have done well in middle school and gotten no less than a B in all my middle school classes. I also feel it is very important to listen and interact in class because if these actions are not completed, homework is a more difficult task. In my opinion doing well in school is more than just being smart because in order to gain true knowledge you have to learn what it is like to listen and pay attention in class. True knowledge is learning how you…

I know there's a big difference between high school and middle school. There are more students and teachers in high school. There are also more classes and the classes are longer. A lot of people say that high school is harder than middle school, which it is not, neither of them are hard, it’s only hard if you make it hard. One can say that it is hard physically because of how big the high school is and you might get lost trying to find your classes, its like a big maze luckily you have five minutes to get to each class. but it shouldn't be hard mentally, only if you make it hard. You should know all the material if you payed attention and listened in middle school because its basically the same just a different level and its more to it and…
