First, in Little Red Riding Hood, it was like Little Red was trying to get eaten. Her Mother said specifically not to dawdle or go off the path because something bad would happen, but she does it anyways. in the story it says ‘And whenever she had picked one (flower), she fancied that she saw a still prettier one farther on, and ran after it, and so got deeper and deeper into the wood.’ If she wasn’t so naive she would have known when to stop. Then after, when she encounters the wolf at her grandmother’s, she makes fun of his appearance. She calls him out on his big ears, big eyes, big hands etc. Most people get mad or sad when you make fun of them so no wonder he wanted to eat her. The wolf was just trying to eat, no one knows when his last meal …show more content…
was. Even if he had just eaten, he’s a wolf. Wolves are gonna want to eat a lot because they’re bigger than humans, and if that means eating granny to get enough to eat, then you have to do what you have to do.
Then again, in the Three Little Pigs, he was just trying to get food. The pigs happened to be the easiest things to get because they’re houses were so poorly built that he could literally blow them down. When they started off on their own, their mother had said don’t do the easiest thing because as well in Little Red Riding Hood, something bad would happen. When the wolf had requested entry into the pigs’ houses, they tried to reply with “Not by the hair of my chinny chin chin.” But it didn’t matter what the pigs said, because their houses were made out of the thinnest material and no effort. By the time the wolf got to the last house, he was starving and just wanted something to eat. However, the last pig was smart and built his house out of bricks so that the wolf couldn’t get in by blowing it down, but instead go through the chimney. Even so, waiting at the bottom of the chimney was a long and painful death which the wolf was not expecting, therefore giving him no time to plan like the pigs had, and leaving him defenseless.
Lastly, in the Shrek movies, He’s nicely portrayed.
He’s sassy but in a nice way. He is friends with all the creatures in Shrek’s swamp because they’ve all been kicked out of the kingdom, therefore having something in common. He isn’t a bad guy, because when Shrek is away in Far Far Away, he looks after the swamp for him. He and the other creatures make sure the swamp doesn’t get wrecked while he’s away, which makes him seem like an averagely nice person. While all the creatures are hanging out together, he doesn’t have the urge to eat the Three Little Pigs. He’s not hungry enough, and even if he was (Which happens at one point) He is able to control himself. He doesn’t want to kill people. He just doesn’t want to die
himself.
When people hear ‘Big Bad Wolf’ they automatically assume he’s bad because of the label people have put on him. But if you actually dive a little deeper and try to understand why he’s eating people/things then you’ll find out that he’s actually a really nice creature who is not a villain. He is obviously just a misjudged hero.
