When a winter blizzard hit Chocolo, The Lone Wolf fled to the mountains. He scavenged for c-boo berries and dried nuts. He was also looking for something else besides food; he was looking for the Diamond of Ambers.
It had to be lying in the Den of Dragons, of course; but The Lone Wolf was, as you know, very brave. He followed the smell of brimstone, the distinct smell of dragons, through the mountains, rivers, plains, and even oceans. If you were wondering how he did that, well, he had some help from mountain goats, friendly river monsters, buffalo, and killer whales. Once he had faced the Seven Wonders of
the World with his bare paws, he had finally made it to the Den of Dragons.
The smell of brimstone was so strong, he knew that there was no other place the dragons could be hiding the precious Diamond of Ambers. If The Lone Wolf did not retrieve the Diamond of Ambers, then all the wolves in the world would disappear into nothingness. The Lone Wolf was fighting and risking his life for all of his race. The Den of Dragons was where his fate lay, and he was ready to take it on.
The Lone Wolf slowly crept into the Den of Dragons, and without noticing, he stepped on a twig. It snapped with a loud crack! With that, he heard the sleeping dragon awake from his afternoon nap. He then saw in the corner of the den the Diamond of Ambers. One dragon spotted The Lone Wolf almost immediately. He was outraged! Why would such a foolish wolf dare enter this den?
The dragon spit fireballs at The Lone Wolf, who was barely managing to dodge them. But the wolf was smart. He had been training for this moment his whole life! He took the large c-boo berry and dried nut he had scavenged for and shot the dragon in the eyes. The dragon could no longer see, and The Lone Wolf quickly but carefully took the Diamond of Ambers.
Once the smell of brimstone was gone and he was back in Chocolo, all was saved. The race of wolves would live on, all because of The Lone Wolf.
