Bill Gates is an American entrepreneur who founded Microsoft and made the personal computer (PC) a household product. Gates dropped out of Harvard in 1997 to form Microsoft with friend, Paul Allen. The pair pursued the new technology industry head-first, and today Microsoft is the technology industry leader .
