Biochemist Research Paper

Biochemistry is a very interesting subject to study and eventually work in. From studying microorganisms to creating medicine to prevent alien viruses from infecting people, it has always been a fascinating subject to me. I became interested in this career because I was always interested in the science field. Ever since I was young, I always liked to experiment with different things. I found out about biochemistry by my chemistry tutor. In the first semester, I struggled with chemistry so I called him over to help me. My tutor is an undergraduate at the California State University of Long Beach with a pursuit of a Secondary Education Credential in Chemistry. He informed me about the field of biochemistry and why this field will be extremely helpful in the future generations. (“Biochemist”) If one is training to be a biochemist, higher levels in education means a better job opportunity one can have. A phD is highly recommended to keep a secured career. (Armitage) However, if a student wishes to go higher in the levels of education, a doctorates degree will open a lot more job opportunities. (“Biochemist”) Being a biochemist can be very interesting because they are always finding new information and discoveries. In about 5 years, the Alzheimer’s disease will be extinct. (Pham) HIV could also be treated by just a simple shot in about a decade. (Pham) Because of modern technology, biochemists are able to make seeds that are resistant to diseases and are drought resistant. (Weidmann) Biochemists also analyze body parts such as kidneys or livers. They do this to know how to always improve technology so that if one body part shuts down they can be prepared. (“Biochemist”) The average salary for biochemists in 2015 was $82,150.
