Throughout the history of humans, one thing has always stood out. As soon as man was created, art was created. Scientists have discovered cave paintings from cavemen more than ten thousand plus years ago. Ever since we figured we could create objects using mud, we have never stopped. Ten thousand years later and art is one of the most important things we have in the world today. Instead of using mud, we use paint, glass, markers and so on. Some artists work’s stand out more than others, but I will be talking about a few works of art from the local area. The idea of art started ten thousand years ago, and will most likely never end.…

Many artists enjoy exploring new ideas and concepts and creating them. Most artists think of themselves in one or more of the roles when approaching their art work. First, artists believe they are helping people to see the world in new and innovative ways. Secondly, they believe they are making a visual record of places, people, and events of their time and place (Sayre, 2009). Third, they are making functional objects and buildings more pleasurable and giving them meaning, and finally, artists believe they are giving form to immaterial ideas and things (Sayre, 2009).…
In life art is not just a form of a hobby, but a passion. Art shows the emotion and inner expression of somebody with their goal as an artist. In the text Letters to a Young Artist by Anna Smith, Smith advises young artists to take everything from the world around them, and develop the eye, the ear, and the heart to create their art. Also, in the story “Zebra,” by Chaim Potok, the main character Adam Martin Zebrin, aka Zebra, encounters an injury and uses art to overcome his depression of the outcome of his injury. Finally, in the poem “I Want to Write,” the poet Margaret Walker describes the feelings, emotions, and the struggles of her people through her poem. Art is most definitely a big part of life, especially in the three texts “Zebra,” “I Want to Write,” and Letters to a Young Artist. From reading these texts, it is shown that art does imitate life.…
was a 20-year-old artist from Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. Orphaned at the age of 15, he worked a variety of jobs. After a stint as a logger, he came to Santa Monica, California, where he drew portraits on the pier for 10 cents apiece. Working his way from place to place on tramp steamers and similar accommodations, he went to Paris where he studied art. Subsequently, he found himself able to return to his native land in the grandest style possible for one with no money: sailing on Titanic on a ticket he won in a poker game.…
There is also a lot of suffering, crashes of motivation and it is exactly during these periods of time that I draw upon my artistic side. Through art I travel to a different dimension. I pass from a place where time is everything; swimming paces, cycling speeds, running times etc. and on to a place where time is meaningless; it either passes slowly or rapid, and it is diffenct. Sometimes after dinner I decide to sketch, and soon it turns into a painting, and eventually my mother enters to my art studio, suddenly I realize it is 3;00 a.m. and I am still painting. That is the power of art it allows you to wander. It awakens my creative side and challenges me to put in the canvas all those weird, surrealist scenes that cross my mind at night. And due to these random imaginative sparks I’ve always carry a notepad with me sketching objects, writing phrases or anything that inspires me daily which helps me expand my imagination. The canvas has become a diary for me. This passion for art has always kept my mind open to new…

Art a small word consist of just three letters, but has huge meaning. It has not any boundaries or limits. Art can be define in words but sometimes we can express it more accurately and beautifully without words. But one should have that talent and courage to express emotions and feelings with the world without even using a single word. There are many forms of art, like dancing, singing, acting, painting and much more, but the true art is what, which you see once and it settles in the viewer’s eyes and then goes into hearts. Anyone can be an artist but it is hard to be a true artist. Jackson Pollock an artist, an inspiration and unique person who does not need any introduction. For the true art lovers in the field of paintings, he is a step to know what is painter, painting and how can they print their imagination on the canvas.…
The rough, yet smooth texture of a canvas knocks down all boundaries and only leaves room for creativity. The line from the tip of my pencil is not just nonsense; every drawing is representation of me and everything that I feel at a given moment. Through art, I have learned how this life isn't always pretty blue skies, and ceramic vases. It is purple skies with an orange hue, tornadoes in perfect weather, grimaces and tears, and so much more that words cannot convey, which is why I draw. Through art, I have learned that with the frustration and failures, there is reward in forms of pride and satisfaction of taking a step back and admiring my own…
With his invention of the Sky cube, a whole new meaning of art has been portrayed. Haskins had attended a lot of universities, but his passion for art drove him and thus teaching himself how to be an artist. Many artists draw their inspirations from many things such as experience, nature among others. Wallace, on the other hand, drew his inspirations from surrealism, movement of light and space and finally minimalism. Artist such as Robert Irwin, Yves Klein, and James Terrell inspired him to continue with his passion for art.…
