After the interview, how would you rate your anxiety level and why did it change?
Since it was my first day at Psych Clinical, I was very nervous and scared. My anxiety level was around 9 when I was starting the interview and I had 1 after the interview. It was not that bad as I thought. My patient was playing in the gym with her groupmates, so the environment was good. She was playing and enjoying herself so she was pleasant to talk. She was able to answer all my questions appropriately. My anxiety level goes down as I talked with the patient because I was able to create a rapport with a patient. My patient said she felt great talking with me, so it cheers my mood.

I used open ended questions to get more information about the patient. I allowed more time for my patient to think and speak while having conversation. I also restate the patient’s statement back to clarify the patient message. Using all these therapeutic conversations allowed the patient to verbalize her feelings. She was able to tell me how she was a sexual victim and
