CASE ABSTRACT :
This study aims to determine those factors that affect the organization as whole of Blackberry company . External factors such as customer satisfaction , government intervention and competitors are not only the things to be considered when analyzing the strength and weaknesses of Blackberry but also those from the inside such as marketing strategy , organizational culture ,practices and executive decisions . Those viewing the Blackberry from the inside and out would give a more complete and accurate details as to how the organization handle such factors .
Research in Motion ,as we’ve all know is the creator of Blackberry smartphones ,4 excels in hardware and user interface design. And just like the iOS smartphone operating system is exclusive to Apple hardware, the BlackBerry OS is exclusive to phones created by Research in Motion. This means much better stability, consistency and reliability across all aspects of the phone.
In a market where Blackberry plays the lead role , Iphone and android intervene in the game . In just a short span of time , the throne where once owned by Blackberry was stolen by Iphone and Android as its dominate the market From a world leader in smartphones to a company struggling to survive ,where did Blackberry go wrong ? How did they did blew it ? .
As we go along in this study, every detail of those factors that determine the weaknesses of Blackberry will be viewed from the outside and inside perspective. Every factors the drive the company on its way up and on its way down will be given a summary of analysis as to how it drive the company on that way .
