10 Characters 1. Antonio- Antonio is the main character of the novel, and goes through moral questioning throughout the book questioning what’s good and bad, as well as his religion. 2. Gabriel Márez- This is Antonio’s dad in the book, who is always trying to influence him to become a vaquero and take care of el llano, while on the other side, Antonio’s mom wants him to become a priest. This causes a lot of Antonio’s confusion. 3. Tenorio- Tenorio is the father of the brujas and is most notorious in the book for killing Ultima’s owl in the end resulting in Ultima dying. 4.
