Depending on how stringent the military model is followed, a police department could have a well functioning system or it could create quite the opposite and develop a department full of corruption, chaos, and mismanagement. Because a department uses the military as a model to develop itself, it does not mean that it is foolproof. Many factors outside of organizing can lead to a well-balanced department or a department as involved in crime as the criminals from which they swore to protect the public. Using a hierarchy of command in departments gives a sense of stability, it delegates responsibilities and it has a person who is…

These people have rights and freedoms as we do, so who are we to go into their land and force our governmental and religious influences on them. Sure if they want to be like America, then I believe we should assist them. As far as invading their land and forcing our political views upon them, that is flat out wrong. And yes you are right, I believe morally it is wrong for us to invade their land and use them to help with the production of the land. A strong and powerful lady said these wise words: “There was one of two things I had a right to, liberty or death; if I could not have one, I would have the other; for no man should take me alive; I should fight for my liberty as long as my strength lasted, and when the time came for me to go, the Lord would let them take me”. The brave women who said these words were Harriet Tubman and she was one of the leaders of the Underground Railroad that helped slaves reach freedom. “Although not an actual railroad of steel rails, locomotives and steam engines, the Underground Railroad was real nevertheless” (encyclopedia The Civil War and African Americans 329) The term “Underground Railroad” referred to the network of safe houses, transportation and the many very kind hearted people who risked their own lives to help the slaves escape from the Southern States to freedom.
