Blood Brain Barrier
Answer- The blood brain barrier is a barrier that is between the brain and the surrounding cells between the blood. This barrier is semipermeable , which basically means it allows only certain things to pass through. This relates it to its actually function which is to allow certain proteins and substances to by pass into the brain. Without these barrier the brain wouldn't have anything to regulate and protect itself from the outside chemicals and chemicals trying to enter the brain. This barrier is not only important for protection but also for allowing certain nutrients into the brain so it can function properly.
