Bruce Cummings is a service professor and chair to the department of history at the university of Chicago, and specializes in modern Korean history and East Asian - American relations. In his book bruce shows how the war was a long struggle for the asians that still haunts contemporary events in Asia. He uncovers the massacres and atrocities committed on all sides. He also shares the history of America post-World War ll occupation of korea.

He is well known as an authority on the korean war. He is the author of multiple other books including Korea-The Limited War. Mr.Rees is a senior fellow of the institute for the study conflict. This book provides a very good overview of the Korean war, with many photographs. In his book Rees talks about the aftermath of the war and implications of the war.

International history of the korean war argues that by its timing, its course, and its outcome it functioned as a substitute for World War lll. In his book Stueck argues that contributions to the U.N. cause in Korea provided support not out of any abstract commitment to a universal system of collective but because they saw an opportunity to influence U.S. policy. While exposing the tragic and brutal nature of the war, Stueck believes that it helped to prevent the occurrence of an even more destructive conflict in Europe.

Stokesbury was born in Derby, Connecticut, and served in the united states Navy from 1953 to 1957. He has a B.A. from acadia University in Nova Scotia, Where he is now a professor of history and chairman of the history department. He studies for his M.A. at the university Western Ontario, and at Duke University for his PH.D. Professor Stokesbury lives in Wolfville, Nova Scotia, with his wife and three children. In this book Stokesbury covers information about the North Korean invasion of june 1950, the Busan (부산) perimeter crisis, MacArthur’s master stroke at Incheon (인천) and the intervention by Chinese forces.
