Background to the Bible Story
The Bible is divided into 2 sections: Old Testament/New Testament.
Covenant: Promise God made to Human beings. The New Covenant fulfills the Old best describes the connection between the two sections of the Bible.
The three divisions of the Jewish Old Testament are: the Law, the Prophets, and the Writings.
Sacred writings are called Hagiographa.
The Apocrypha is considered helpful, not inspired, and not approved for public reading. They are also the books written between the Old and New Testament.
The Greek translation of the Old Testament which was completed around 250 BC is called Septuagint.
OLD TESTAMENT:

The list of books accepted as scripture is called the canon.
BELIEF OPTIONS:
1. Agnoticism: “I don’t know if there is a God.”
2. Atheism: “I don’t believe there is a God.”
3. Polytheism: “I believe in many gods.”
4. Pantheism: “I believe God is everything and everything is God.”
5. Deism: “I believe God is real but remote; he has not made himself known to us.”
6. Unitarianism: “I believe God is one person.”
7. Belief: “I claim to know something.”
8. Theism: “I believe in some kind of God or gods.”
9. Monotheism: “I believe in one God.”
10. Supernaturalism: “I believe in a God that is separate from creation, a transcendent God.”
11. Revealed theism: “I believe God is present and he has revealed himself to us.”
12. Trinitarianism: “I believe in one God who exists in three persons.”
The Story Begins
The name Genesis means beginning. Genesis is not a scientific
