Bully Documentary Analysis
The documentary Bully, brings up the negative sides to bullying, but does not mention the positives. You cannot “stop” bullying completely. It is a problem that every individual must go through to become a stronger person later in life. It is sad when kids do take their life or others, but that can’t make up for the strength that bullying gives kids. You’ll look back and thank each and every one of those bullies for making them the person that they are now. Bully shows countless and countless occurrences of bullying, and showing that EVERY victim in Bully seemed to getting hurt emotionally or physically and feels depressed while being bullied. But for myself, I heavily thank them all. I grew up not understanding what bullying was or that

One aspect of the human condition in the story “Sucker” by Carson McCullers shows how treating people poorly has negative effects on everyone. One major way of treating people poorly is bullying. The web page “stopbullying.gov” tells what bullying is. “Bullying is unwanted, aggressive behavior among school aged children that involves a real or perceived power imbalance. The behavior is repeated, or has the potential to be repeated, over time. Both kids `who are bullied and who bully others may have serious, lasting problems.”…

The results of bullying can also support my opinion. Many things can result from being bullied. Some of these results include PTSD, depression, anxiety, along with physical problems caused by stress (sample 5). The most important negative result of bullying is that the victim could become another bully. This cycle never ends. Again this supports my opinion because it is an example of how the victim becomes conditioned by the environment he is placed in and becomes another…

Bullying happens when they are not around either of them people and also some kids are too scared to tell their parents because they don’t know how they will act nor do they know if they will stop getting bullied or if it would happen more. The victims of such actions need to understand that they can get out of that situation and also that they can sometimes do it by themselves because being bullied can mess a child up in the long run(Jacobs and McMahon np). The child can become antisocial or become very insecure about themselves, which no child deserves to go through all their lives. Not only do the people that get bullied become very distressed but also the people who witness the action happening can become very uncomfortable and stressed. This isn’t fair to the witnesses either because it can mess with their physical, mental, psychological and social well beings, along with the victim’s well being too. These problems with the victims and witnesses well beings can have a long term effect which isn’t good for either of them (Jacobs and McMahon np). Some of these situations lead to physical threats which are the one of the most common types of bullying. Also, most…

When viewers hear and see the word ‘bully,’ they are swarmed with emotions, because of experience as a bully or as a victim. Pathos is the clearest appeal in Hirsch’s film. The topic of bullying evokes so much emotion in an audience and Hirsch knew he could channel these emotions to create a passion to end bullying. Hirsch follows the lives and family of five victims, displaying the brutality inflicted upon the individuals and the agony and sorrow caused by the ruthless bullying. I enjoyed watching is as well as learning from it. I learned that by treating others poorly, you put yourself at risk for something unpleasant to happen to you as well. All of the things that happen to bullies in return could all be avoided if they would act like civil people. There is no need to be penurious toward somebody for no real reason, just to amuse yourself; there are so many better ways to spend your time than by bullying…

Bullying has become an epidemic, and it needs to come to an end. If people will stand up for each other and protect each other, I believe bullying would cease to be effective. It preys on those who do not have the confidence to defend themselves. Often times, the bully hurts others as a way of protecting himself. He believes that if he attacks others, then they will not know he himself is hurting, or has been hurt in the past. It becomes a coping mechanism for him. The biggest thing to keep in mind is that bullying should not be responded to with more violence. They need to be shown love, but firm love. A love that says, “I love you enough to not let you continue down this path. Let me show you another way.” Then you are not only l protecting those that the bully hurts, but also you are protecting the bully himself in the long run.…

Before, in the 20th century, bullying was a regular thing in everyday life. In this time, no one paid attention to effect that bullying had on kids because no one at the time showed any serious reaction to bullying. In 1999, two seniors at Columbine High School killed a total of 13 people which brought attention to the world. With a link of aggression and bullying, this became more serious issue. Entering the new century, many of those who have had a personal connection with bullying or some one who has been bullied have been speaking out and against this issue while others stay silent against this cause. Those who advocate against bullying and those who stay silent, both participate in this way because of personal experiences and personal fears.…

I am sure that we can all, regretfully, think of an incident where you or someone you know have been bullied. Whether it was being called a derogatory name, being singled out because of your race, or even somebody saying something inappropriate about you on facebook. All of these examples are far too familiar in today’s society. So familiar, in fact, that statistics show that one out of every four teens face problems with bullying on a daily basis, whether it is mentally, verbally or physically (Fox,3). Bullying has not only ruined the lives of victims, but also ruined the lives of the bullies themselves. Many people do not understand the negative effects bullying has on oneself and/or their family until they are actually involved in a bullying situation. Bullying is a fact of modern society, however, knowing the psychological and even physical effects that bullying can cause, preventative measures should be taken by parents, teachers and school administrators to abolish bullying for good.…
