Title:
Bullying….When Will It Stop?
Purpose:
To persuade my audience the we must stand up to the bullies. Stand up for those who are victims of bullying. Finally put an end to bullying altogether.
Introduction
Attention grabber:
When I was seven years old I was involved in a horrible car accident. My mother my sister and myself were hit by a drunk driver. Resulting in me going through the windshield, ending up with scars all over my face. I was given the nickname Scarface.
Thesis statement:
Bullying is all around us. More needs to get done in our society but especially in our school systems. Too many people witnessed some form of bullying. Doing absolutely nothing about it, …show more content…
Intervene when they observe it happening.
Get the parents involved and on the same page.
Implement the Olweus program everywhere.
Report the incident to the school/law-enforcement.
Social activities to get the children more involved as a whole.

Main point 1:
More awareness can help lead to lowering the suicide rate.
Example:
A few months ago 14-year-old committed suicide due to cyber bullying. And eight-year-old took his own life as well by hanging himself.
Evidence/citation:
In 2013, 80% of the youth committed suicide due to peer victimization and bullying. 28% of students in the US in grade In Grade 6 to 12 are bullied.
Main point 2:
Bullying victims would have protection from Bullies. Their performance in school would improve.
Examples:
There are so many kids that will fake being sick because they're afraid of being bullied and tormented in school. They feel the safest when they're home.
Evidence/citation:
Children who are bullied have a higher absentee rate. According to the US Department of Justice 160,000 kids per day don't attend school for the fear of being bullied.
