Two boys and Two girls, between the ages of sixteen to eighteen, were faced with felony charges of statutory rape, violation of civil rights with bodily injury, harassment, stalking, and disturbance in school, because Phoebe Prince, the victim, had suicided herself. Another example is that two girls had been charged with felons to allegedly haunting, and bullying a girl. One girl, who was fourteen years old, was remanded into the custody of juvenile detention. At the same time the other girl, who was twelve years old, was released on her parents’ custody, however she was not allowed to attend school at all. Some people, even the bully, might think that nothing can happen to them, but it is not true. The bully is the main person for the victim to suiciding themselves. So therefore, the bully will get major consequences. The bully can not only make the victim suicide themselves, but they can also make them depressed.
Already as an adult, for being bullied in the past, the victim can end up being depressed. A study published in 2013, in the journal JAMA, Psychiatry found increased risks of depression, and anxiety, in adulthood, among bully victims.
