Lucky’s war with Nader is lasting more than eight years. His conflict with Nader, took place in locker rooms and even public place like a swimming pool. The constant bullying has impacts Lucky’s life for his entire life which also hit his academics and social lives. Nader’s rage towards Lucky drives Nader to do unthinkable acts in a locker room and a swimming pool“Nader pushes the back of my skull playfully, but enough to make my head lurch forward and bounce off the ladder handle”(King 13). This event takes place at a swimming pool, Nader makes a wild accusation towards Lucky about attempting to steal his girlfriend. Out of rage, Nader pushes Lucky into the poll and tells him he should be spending time with his mother instead of coming to the swimming pool. The act which Nader commits surprise Luck, he feels surprised because the attacks and comments made by Nader has never happened outside of school. Nader shows that his rage and anger towards Lucky can be shown anywhere at anytime. Secondly,Lucky has the feeling that bullying will keep to follow him everywhere. Even at school, Lucky makes a controversial survey asking if you needed to commit suicide, how would you do it? The survey made the bullying much more intense, no one could imagine how intense it will be. An unthinkable act happened in the boys locker room on purpose to frighten Lucky and warn him, he will be next, “Watch closely Linderman, because this is what snitches get”(King 34). The incident in the locker was that Nader held a kid hostage and beat him up very badly. The point of the attack was to scare Lucky and keep him on his feet. This makes bullying inescapable because Lucky will always need to be on his feet. He will never be able to rest because Nader can strike at any moment. Nader is capable to attack him whenever he
