In the section for models within the Occupational Outlook Handbook 2010-2011 Edition, it states that the modeling career does not require a whole lot of education; in fact it basically requires a high school diploma. Modeling schools are a great way to get started because they provide the basics like posing, walking and other tasks. Modeling agents go to modeling schools for fresh faces but not everyone will get their opportunity face to face with the agent. Agents have a certain standard for models that include height, weight, flawless skin, healthy hair and other small adjustments.
