This can affect emotional behaviour and possibly intellectual development because of lack of concentration, bad behaviour, anger, be withdrawn and upset.
Poor Health, Disability, Impairment.
This may affect emotional and intellectual development, it could knock the child’s self esteem, have a lack of friendships, and the child may not want to get involved in sport activities, due to a lack of gross motor skills being impaired.
Poverty.
If a family is living in poverty the child’s needs may not be met and in turn this could affect ALL aspects of the child’s development, and they will be less likely to thrive in a school environment.
Short, Tall, Fat, Thin.
The child could be lacking in self-confidence, have social problems, very few friends, and feel emotional about it.
Speech Impediment
This could cause a child to have social problems, very few friends, Communication problems, they won’t want to talk, and feel very emotional about it.
Puberty
If the child develops before its peers this my be embarrassing and they could become shy, and wont want to be involved in sports, The same goes for when they haven’t developed but their peers have, they could become inferior and shy.
Shyness
If a child suffers with shyness this could cause a lack in self-esteem, confidence, social skills, and emotional development. They will feel like they may be left on the shelf, because others may not try with them because there is no point.
Bad fine motor skills
These children cannot play sports games very well, and are less likely to be picked, therefore social development and self esteem and confidence will be affected.
Bad gross motor skills
Cannot play sporty games, dancing very well, social development could be affected, less likely to be picked, low self esteem, lack of confidence, and few friends, could feel intimidated, secluded, upset.
