Calfus rose from nothing. A mother and father that couldn’t provide in their pack, a family shattered by their animalistic greed for the position of alpha. Calfus learned at a young age that in order to provide for his stomach, it was no one’s job but his own. His pack hardly a union, but a loose collection of wolves who fear a lonesome life. Long Summers and cold Winters passed, all while he learned what he needed and fended for his life. One day, Calfus confronted his parents as to why he wasn’t given their bread. “The weak shall fall through the cracks of our world. A spectral being appears and tells of a land unseen by his kind. “This land bares great feasts on four legs, rivers of pure transparency, and elements of perfect moderation”. Calfus, unknowing of the mirages truth, had some skepticism towards these promises. “How am I to be sure that these things you say are true?”, Calfus replies. The alpha looked at his pack members and retorted with “And where might that be?” Calfus breathed in slowly and said “A land promised to me by what seemed to be an angel.” In sudden realization, Virgil figured out that Calfus was headed to the same place as his pack. To end this quarrel quickly, Virgil leaped at Calfus’ throat. Calfus, quick as he is, dodges the fangs and bites down on Virgil’s spine. Virgil becomes limp and falls. He’s only able to use his front two paws, his hind legs are dead weight. Calfus chuckles and says, “I would kill you, but you felt that having the surprise would help. Suffer alone as I have until your last day.” Calfus took lead, and began to guide a group that he didn’t want. His past has seemingly reformed in front of him, all in battle for pack of the Alpha.
