Campus Leadership Philosophy
My philosophy of leadership for public schools centers around forming and establishing a clear vision of what you want for your campus. Having a clear vision supported by achievable objectives and measurable goals gives all stake holders a sense of purpose and identity. However, it is not enough to establish a vision for the school; there must be systems in place to measure and monitor these goals and objectives that will allow you to make changes as needed and provide support. Vigilance and follow through are essential in prioritizing activities that will contribute to advancing the direction of the school. Most importantly, it is the responsibility of leadership to bring all stakeholders together to share in the quest of achieving the vision. …show more content…
However, to truly be effective in designing an instructional program, you need to look at the data. Data-driven instruction is one of the most important practices in contributing to the success of a campus. A campus leader must bring in the appropriate personnel to disaggregate the data and develop a plan that will prove effective for all learners. Still, having a plan isn’t enough. Teachers must be well trained and given the support and tools they need to make this instructional plan work in the classroom. Furthermore, cultural norms must be in place in the classroom and an effective discipline plan must be in place to assure as little disruption to the learning process as …show more content…
Through my work, I thoroughly understand the importance of developing solid organizational and community relations, and am adept at successfully navigating multicultural environments and ever-changing regulations. Furthermore, I have assisted in campus test administration over the last 8 years and I am well aware of the procedures in place for all standardized testing to include, the STAAR, LAS, and TELPAS. I sit on the Campus Educational Instruction Committee, as well as the LPAC, RTI, and TELPAS committees. At the district level, I serve on the District Educational Instruction Committee and Guiding Tenets

    Taking ENES 317 has exposed me to lot of knowledge such as one leadership/Management skills, personality types, approaches to problems and decision making. In the past, I believed that leadership was a quality that could be learned and taught, but I also thought that leadership would best fit people with some personal trait such as charisma or personality of an extrovert people.
