Cardiovascular System
The Cardiovasuclar system is one of the most important systems in your body and it is also one of the largest systems in your body. This system consists of the heart, and a system of vessels called arteries, veins and capillaries. They are responsible for transporting, nutrients hormones, oxygen and waste throughout the body. All of these play an important part in this system and the system would fall apart if one wasn't there. This system is is powered by the hardest working organ which is the heart. The heart is a muscle that pumps blood throughout the body and is located in between the lungs along the mid line of the thoracic region. The bottom part of the heart known as its apex is in a position so it is turned to the left so that only about two thirds of the heart is located on the left side of the body and other part on the right. The top of the heart, was known as the hearts base is what connects the blood vessels of the body which are: the aorta, vena, cava, pulmonary trunk and pulmonary veins. …show more content…
There are 2 kinds of loops in the human body and they are known and the pulmonary circulation loops and the systemic circulation loops. The pulmonary circulation is what transports deoxygenated blood from the right side of the heart that goes to lungs, where the blood grabs the oxygen and moves it to the left side of heart. The pumping chambers of the heart that support the pulmonary circulation are the right atrium and the right right ventricle. The systemic circulation is pretty much the opposite, it carries highly oxygenated blood from the left side of the heart to all of the tissues of the body but not to the heart or the lungs. The system also removes wastes from body tissues and returns the deoxygenated blood over to the right of the heart. The left atrium and ventricle of the heart are what are known as the pumping chambers for the systemic circulation
