1. Maintaining confidentiality
It is crucial in the early years setting to maintain the confidentiality of information. By doing this, the setting ensures care and trust within the service and for the individuals. It builds a bond ensuring that the child can trust the care practioner. This also teaches them a variety of skills. All early years setting have information related to a child’s history and background. This should all be kept confidential
Maintaining confidentiality is when the information related to the child is kept discreet and enclosed. It is the care workers duty to keep the child safe and not give anyone the information if it is not needed. However if it affects the child than it should be reported to higher authority and dealt with effectively. They should be able to trust the care worker and information should be kept in a safe place.

They will be protected and willing to come to school and learn. They will enjoy and will be able to build a bond with care worker. If a care worker keeps confidential information completely secret than it will allow the child to relax.
If not applied
On the other hand if maintaining confidentiality is not applied than the child will not be safe and will not be happy. They will not be willing and keen to learn and will be reluctant to even come in. They won’t enjoy and won’t trust the care worker. If a care worker does not keep confidential information a secret than the child will not be comfortable around them.

In early years setting it is important and necessary that they value diversity as if the early years setting does this then it will ensure that children develop a sense of identity. No one’s culture should be treated superior or inferior as it may restrict the child doing the best of their
