Career At Bcths
1.) Why are you at BCTHS?
Originally, for the Allied Health program, but then I decided I wanted a career in photography. Since then, I’ve changed what I want my career to be in the long-run, but being certified in different design programs will help me get there along the way.

2.) What is better, a job or a career? Why?
A career is better than a job because it’s long-term, you can build upon it, and eventually raise through the ranks at the job you’re working for. A job might be better than a career in some cases if you just want to make quick cash or have commitment

It's a person's choice of which path they want to take in the future but without help they can choose the wrong path. As Dr. Seuss said in his poem" I'm sorry to say so but, sadly, it's true and Hang-ups can happen to you." My Perspective is that careers is a very important course in high school because it helps students discover their skills and choose the right career. Careers will show kids how to create and do different aspects of getting a job and starting a career. It will let them explore the different opportunities for them in the future and educate them to choose the career best for them. In…

I agree with Dorothy Sayer’s in her idea that some individuals only choose certain occupations because of the income or the status that they could gain. With our every increasing money focused society, it is hard to not consider income as one of the qualities of choosing a career. Although, it is important to look beyond those two characteristics. There are many careers that are essentially a service to others. I can only hope that my accounting mindset will be just that: a service to others. If my abilities, desires, and opportunities all aligned my life as an accountant would be perfect. I would see my dreams of becoming a Chief Executive Officer (CEO) come true; however, the title CEO would mean more to me than just a status. It would boost my inner confidence and reassure me that I can achieve my dreams with hard work and dedication. I think everyone should consider their jobs like the warriors did when fighting for our…

I want to be proud that I have completed this because my goal has been delayed due to my unexpected motherhood at the age of fourteen. Choosing the career for my future was one of the toughest decisions I had to make. During school life, when many of my peers were already pursuing their goals and dreams, I was dedicated to missing as many classes as possible. This didn't change until I graduated from high school and decided to work instead of continuing with my education in college. I searched for any job which could pay for my car and allowance. With no clear goal in a career for my future at age 21, I finally started to panic.…
