My career goal is to become a Registered Nurse. Ever since I was a little girl, I have always had the dream of being a nurse someday. I love helping others who are need or even need some encouragement. My passion is to help others who are struggling and help them realize that their life matters. I want to be the person to brighten up someone’s day when that individual is feeling down. Right now, I am a Freshmen taking prerequisite classes like BIO 213, 214, CHEM 107, 107L and I have to pass those prerequisite classes with a C or better to get into the Nursing program. My goal is to pass my prerequisites classes with a B or better. I know God has a plan for my life and knows exactly what I am going to be studying and where I will be in …show more content…
The TEAS test just sees if the prospective nursing students, which is myself, will be successful in the nursing program. I have to pass the TEAS test with a 58 percent or better. Then in December through February, I can apply to the Nursing program and during Spring Break is when the faculty notifies me if I have got accepted into the program. After I graduate from Liberty University, I have to take an exam called NCLEX-RN, which stands for National Council Licensure Examination-Registered Nurse. I have to pass the NCLEX-RN in order to become a licensed Registered Nurse. I am not sure what kind of nurse I want to be yet, but I am leaning more towards a Labor and Delivery Nurse. I have thought about many different types of nursing like recovery, emergency, and anesthetist. I want to work in a hospital and wear scrubs to work every day and just help as many individuals as I possibly can. I want to love on patient’s just as Jesus did. I know I am truly blessed and wants others to feel just as blessed even though being in the hospital is not a joyous occasion. I love the idea of working with the patients and his/her family, dealing with different dosage of medicines to give the patient, and just making the environment an enjoyable and stress-free

I was able to accomplish this goal right away, and with almost every patient I saw, which I am proud of. My second goal was to accurately chart restorations, using detailed surfaces, and other dental appliances. I received all my pre-recs that I needed for the ADN program as well as all the prereqs I needed for my BSN at Lake Land College. The Lakeland College nursing program is known for being tough but very rewarding. When I attended they had a 99% pass rate on the NCLEX exam.
