Why Dermatology?: Dermatologists make a good wage, and have the satisfaction of possible making a patients’ health better. I chose this career because I have no problem with dealing with most things the dermatologists have to deal with on a daily basis. A dermatologist needs to be understanding, if the patient has a skin condition the doctor will have to be understanding about what and what not to say to the patient. A dermatologist also needs to be quick, you don’t want someone in your personal bubble for a few hours messing with your skin. They need to be quick and skillful, quick so they don’t make the patient uncomfortable. Last but not least, a dermatologist needs to be mature. You wouldn’t want an immature person working on something that could make a difference in your life. Like removing a tumor from the side of a face, you wouldn’t want someone who drops the tools, giggles too much, plays around too much. I would say that over time I will be a good fit for this career. I know the times to be mature and understanding, but I’m not very fast and can become clumsy under
