Economics Threats:
• The travel industry is greatly affected by the economy which means that the fluctuation of economic conditions has a big impact on the amount of people who have disposable income to go on vacations.
• This industry is sensitive to the economic condition such as unemployment, reduction in discretionary income, inflation or recession, interest rates, foreign exchange, and such. Any major adverse economic condition can result in a drastic change in their profitability.
Social, Cultural, Demographic, and Environmental Threats
• Any severe weather conditions can cause them to make detours which can cost them money.
• Severe weather conditions could cause damage to the vessel which causes expenses to rise.
