They are designed for specific application. In this section, the architecture of the proposed product is discussed with details. Laptop consists of the Raspberry pi board, keyboard, mouse/touchpad and LCD screen. A daughter board is designed with which sensors for various applications and communication module can be easily interfaced. Operating system used for this purpose is Raspbian, customized according to the needs. All the software libraries needed for using sensors and communication modules are preinstalled in the OS. Figure shows the block diagram of the SenseComm. It can be seen from the diagram that the sensors and communication modules are interfaced to Raspberry Pi through daughter board. Applications covered by this product are Security, Medical, Home automation, Power saving, Agriculture, General purpose I/O, Mobile, Safety, Robotics, Environment. There is plug and play support for various sensors and communication modules. User can select any sensor for taking the data and any communication for sending/receiving the data at any time interval. Data can also be stored into the …show more content…
It has 1GB LPDDR2 (900 MHz) RAM, 10/100 Ethernet port, 2.4GHz 802.11n wireless Bluetooth 4.1 Classic, Bluetooth Low Energy, microSD slot, 40-GPIO pin header, one standard HDMI, 3.5mm analogue audio-video jack, 4× USB 2.0, Camera Serial Interface (CSI), Display Serial Interface (DSI) [8].
Camera Module: This module can be used to take high definition video, as well as still photographs. It is a five mega pixel fixed focus camera that supports 1080p30, 720p60 and vga90 video modes as well as still captures.
LCD Screen: It is a 14.1" display with 1280x800 18-bit colour pixels. The screen uses LVDS communication. It is interfaced to Raspberry Pi through an LCD controller which converts HDMI signals from Raspberry Pi to LCD compatible LVDS signals.
Sensors: A sensor is a device that converts physical quantity into electrical optical signal. Different sensors have been integrated in various applications like Security, Medical, Home automation, Power saving, Agriculture, General purpose I/O, Mobile, Safety, Robotics, Environment.
