1. The client will produce in all word positions within conversation given minimal cues at 90% accuracy. Status: Not Achieved, 78% The clinician used a variety of activities to target this goal. Clinician made activities such as crafting a Harry Potter sorting hat were particularly enjoyed by the client. Accuracy for this objective steadily increased weekly, with the exception of one week. The client responded to verbal cues, placement cues, tactile cues, and modeling. Additionally, instructing the client to touch the top of his lip while making the sound was successful. The client enjoyed these functional games. The clinician and client periodically reviewed target words throughout the activity. The clinician reduced complexity of this goal to the syllable level to elicit the correct response. The clinician utilized the principle of co-articulation to elicit the target sound (i.e. “her-red”). The clinician explicitly explained what co-articulation was to the client. The client produced the sound correctly after multiple attempts utilizing this method. The client responded well to repetition cues, placement cues, and modeling cues. The clinician also increased the clients’ awareness of the difference by watching multiple YouTube videos that modeled the difference.
