    a) In order to answer the question, we first need to consider what do revenue growth and net income represents. Revenue growth suggests the company’s future profitability, which means that revenue growth has the potential to be a predictor of future earning power. The income statement contains both revenue and expense information. Furthermore, in an efficient market, R&D and startup costs can be adjusted, and as long as these information are available to the public, the company will not be penalized if the company incurs high R&D and other startup cost that delay the advent of profitability. Therefore, net income also has the potential as a predictor of future earnings.…

In the story “Overspending: A tale of Christmas Past Essay“ depicts the human nature of most of us in buying lots of stuff to celebrate a holiday like Christmas. We often times get excited to every holiday because of the things we see around us, like the displayed toys on the shelves, good decorations on commercial store, the time off to shop or even the thought of getting good shopping deals etc. There is always the tendency of being excessive during Christmas. Just like the common mistake parents do during holidays. They shower their children with so many gifts. Parents wanted to provide the best as they say. But, they are only showering them with a lot of material stuff, so plenty that at times they get so overwhelmed. The worst thing…

    Why Recycling Is Wrong

In the article, “Recycling Is Not Garbage” environmentally Defense fund scientist Richard A. Denison and economic analyst John F. Ruston rebut a series of myths that they say have been promoted by industrial opponents in an effort to undermine the environmentally valuable and successful recycling movement. One of them is that recycling is not necessary because landfilling trash is environmentally safe. But this statement is simply wrong. “In fact, 250 out of 1,204 toxic waste sites on the Environmental Protection Agency’s Superfund National Priority List are former municipal solid waste landfills” (Denison 280). That means landfills are major sources of air and water pollution, including greenhouse gas emissions. Another myth is that recycling is not cost effective, and should pay for itself. As discussed in “Recycling Is Not Garbage” an analysis of nine years of detailed data collected by the Seattle Solid Waste Utility shows that, after a two year startup period, recycling services saved the city's solid waste management program $1.7 to $2.8 million per year (Denison 281). Thus, we do not expect landfills or incinerators to pay for themselves, nor should we expect this of recycling. No other form of waste disposal, or even waste collection, pays for itself. Waste management is simply a cost society must…

While researching and surveying, I learned some ways that we can prevent and manage the amount of trash on campus. Some of the ways to manage trash are: the people on trash or lunch duty should do it a few times a week, a trash race to see who or what group can pick up the most, while students are waiting for teachers, they can pick up trash, and I even got one response saying humans or robots should do it, after all, it is the 21st…
