Danielle Bregoli’s famous phrase, “Cash me outside how bow dah,” made her almost instantly famous. To many people in the world, it is their dream to become famous, however it probably would not be anyone’s dream to become famous because people are making fun of them. In this century, society makes anyone famous; there almost does not seem to be a reason to work hard to be successful, so just post something stupid on the internet and become instantly famous. It seems like people only become the most talked about person if there is something to bully them for, and most of the time it’s cyberbullying so that way it does not seem real. People are bullying a girl that needs help, but sometimes people need to feel better about themselves so they do that by putting others down. …show more content…
Phil Danielle was in, asking if “she was a special needs kid?” Whether true or not, this is not only insulting to Danielle but also to actual special needs children and their families. Kerry’s comment was a good example of cyberbullying. Danielle has been put through cyberbullying by people around the country possibly even around the world. Between videos making fun of her and memes of her all over the internet, people seem to have made it their priority to bully her. Kerry, out of many people, was trying to persuade me in to thinking Danielle is stupid. I think she is a lost girl who needs help, but all she is getting is the public’s attention and getting insulted by people all around the

    An Edison Research shows that over 70% of the nation has a social media profile as of the first of January this current year. The Pew Research Center published results of a survey that shows 92% of teens, identified as 13-17 year olds in this survey, go online daily. From this research we can see how affected young adults and teens are affected by social media and although social media affects all sorts of people, it seems that social media affects young adults and teens to a greater extent. In a survey published by the National Crime Prevention Council, around 40% of teens were cyber-bullied. The social issues teens face differs from feeling insecure about themselves to feeling pressured about always looking their best. Some find the use of a “selfie” as empowering while others use it as a measure to determine their worth by how many like or hearts they receive for that “selfie”. Although the online world manages to a produce solid amount of social hardships, the real world produces still produces its share of social issues. Face-to-face bullying is still common and teens are still facing the social issue.
