Cats and dogs are two very different animals. Each pet has positives and negatives about them. Cats tend to be more independent, while dogs need more attention, but they can be very helpful. Cats are very independent animals, you can leave them alone and they will find themselves food, water, and shelter. If you dislike the loud barking or dirtiness of dogs, cats are a much quieter, cleaner alternative. Of course there is going to be some negatives to choosing a cat such as; some cats like to scratch things around your house. Another negative about them is that you can’t take them around with you so much, but most people don’t really want to do this anyway. Cats are loyal as long as you treat them right, if they are unhappy with where they are, they will just leave. Next, dogs will be examined.
Dogs have been known to be man’s best friend. They are the perfect choice if you like to have a pet that will protect you and you can take around with you. If you want your pet to be more of a companion and playful, they are great to play games with. One of the problems with dogs is that they can chew up things around your house like furniture or carpets. Expect these animals to be a lot more dirty and be ready to clean up your yard, this is probably the biggest reason people don’t want to get a dog. Another reason you might not want to is that they need you to take care of them and take them for walks, you also need a decent sized yard for most of them, smaller dogs or cats are much better for indoors.
