Every where you go there are rules and regulations that have to be fallowed. Whether you’re at a sporting event, walking down the street, or going to school. In many high schools, the district assembles together a handbook with all of their regulations. It includes what is acceptable to wear, what you cannot bring to school, and displays information regarding plagiarism. Many high schools do not enforce many of the rules that are in their book which causes many people to start copying other’s work more often. This creates a lack of creativity, a lack of responsibility, and the student will not acquire the knowledge. Students who do cheat should be held responsible; the teacher should not only give them an incomplete. Students that copy other people’s work are only hurting themselves in the long run. Their own sense of creativity drops with every word they write. After a while of copying and forging, the student’s ability to think successfully and creatively becomes next to nothing. “If we always do what we've always done, we will get what we've always got.” This quote by Adam Urbanski is exactly true; if we continue cheating our minds will never excel to higher levels. The educational system that every person goes through is where we learn how to live our lives. Our educators are like parents, they teach students what the difference is between what is right and what is wrong. Cutting corners is easy to do these days; in order for a mind to stay functional, they need to do their own work. It is too easy for any student to buy a paper from a student before, reword it, and turn it in. Due to the advancement of technology, a computer can give you an A paper in less than five minutes. Students also begin losing a sense of responsibility when they do not do their schoolwork on their own. Some students feel as though they do not need to do much to pass a class.
