The first reason that I want to show out is financial burden. University fee is a nightmare for most students who just receive little or no support from their parents. Besides, they have to cover not only tuition fees but also textbook which are not cheap for tertiary education. The students who go to university in another region will have to pay for other expenses such as house rent, bills, medicare, etc… So there is no choice but to work part-time to pay for the university. By working and studying at the same time like this, it’s easy to fall behind and quit if they are not a good time-managers.
The second cause of university dropping is due to family reasons. Nowadays there are still parents who want their kids to get married quite early. Moreover, some students face with an unintended pregnancy, it also means that they have to quit class to marry and shoulder family affairs. They have to work full-time to earn enough money to supply the whole family. Such burdens will reduce the time they spend on learning. Gradually, they have no time for studying and of course they can’t catch up with classmates anymore.
To sum up, not with standing the point that many reasons can cause us dropping out but that does not mean it cannot be prevented. Be responsible, be mature, invest well in the future, have realistic thought of what is going on is the key to pass all difficulties in college.
