Why Attend SUNY New Paltz? A student should attend SUNY New Paltz because this school provides programs for students who want to major in education, liberal arts, fine and performing arts, business and science and engineering. This school even offers over 100 student clubs and organizations that could help improve any student communication and education skills. SUNY New Paltz is located in New Paltz, New York and this town setting is considered to be small. It is also a public and diverse community meaning that it has a mixture of different races, religion, gender and ethnicity. It is located near the beautiful Hudson River Valley, which gives it a village appearance. The campus of SUNY New Paltz is described to be about 350 acres in New Paltz, New York. The campus contains 14 residence halls, 3 on-campus theaters, and 39 non-residence buildings. The theaters are considered, the Department of Theatre Arts and it offers students unique combination of liberal art traditions and contemporary theory. The residence halls include three residence complexes which are Parker Complex, Hasbrouck Complex and South Complex. Each of these residence complexes gives students various living options that basically interest them. SUNY New Paltz includes numerous sports for both genders if they’re are interested in getting active and in-shape. Sports offered here are basketball, baseball, cross country, tennis and many more to choose from. Also, SUNY New Paltz even includes sport clubs if any student is interested as well. The mascot for this school is the Hawks and their school color is white, blue, and orange. The most popular majors at SUNY New Paltz are education, business/marketing, visual and performing arts, and social sciences.
