Cell phones Should we allow students to use their cell phones in school? Would it be benifical for students? Students should have the abilty to use their cell phones in school because you will never know what will happen to you or your child. There can be any type of an emergency such as earthquakes, a crime scene, or a fire. Students should be able to use cell phones in school because how about if someone was going to get hurt and didnt have a way to get help or find help near them. Students should always have options for any type of emergency they might have.
First students should have cell phones to stay connected with family and friends. A student can call home for anything they might have forgotten at home such as a homework assignment,lunch or they might be sick and not be feeling very well for the rest of the school day. Also it allowes the parents to keep track of their children, during school and out of school. There always can be in some type of trouble in or out of school and whats make it so scary is if they have no way to contact their children, but if they have a cell phone it will be so helpful for the parents and the students. Students may also want to connect with a friend but not just for fun it can help them with a missing homework assingment or just in case you might be absent and you will be needing the notes. When students use it apporiately cell phones will be helpful to use.
Also, cell phones with apps which are the smart phones with androids are a beautiful wonderful way to use in class. Their can be a caculator you may need to use or a map that will help you find your way. According to Twin Valley High School in Elverson, Pennsylvania, they have reexamined the eletronic policy. The principals and the assitants principals agreed devices during the school day was inconsistent with socieltal norms.So they have asked the students to use the cell phones responsibly and since then
