Challenges In The Call Of The Wild

In life you will go through difficult challenges that you will have to persevere through and overcome in order to keep going. In Call Of The Wild Buck is taken from his home and thrown into a world he has never seen before and is faced with many difficult and dangerous challenges. In contrast my dad had a tough time balancing multiply difficulties at once. They may have their differences but they both got help and listened to the people that were in charge. In life everyone will face difficult events and in order to overcome them they will need to persevere.

In Call Of The Wild Buck is taken from his warm paradise and thrown into a cold hard brutal life and is forced to persevere to survive. Buck is sold and gets moved from Santa Clara Valley in California to Yukon, Canada. While moving he has to adjust to a different climate. He meets more people and joins a sled dog team. Buck in order to survive he had to become meaner and more aggressive. In the book he gets attacked many times wild huskies, spitz, wolf pack they all were major battle
in the story. While experiencing all the hard mean things he also got to feel what love feels like with John Thornton as one of his owners. He saves John many times one time when John fell into a raging river Buck jumped in and pulled him to shore. Another time John bet that Buck could pull 1000 pounds and Buck won that bet for him. What really showed that Buck loved John that was when the Yeehats an Indian Tribe killed John and the other dogs Buck went on a rampage killing everyone and thing in sight.

In contrast, my dad had to persevere as he was becoming a teacher, but did not experience harmful events quite like Buck.
One of the troubling things he dealt with while becoming a teaching was moving from a small town to big city. He wasn’t used to all the traffic and all the people. He was looking for a house to live in once he got his teaching degree. He failed the first test to become a teaching and was taking the test again. He had to study more and work harder to make sure he would pass this time. While studying he also worked at nights so it was extremely hard while balancing school and work he was getting ready to get married too. As both of those thing were happening he also was getting ready to get married. He met my mom in college and they were getting ready to get married while both still in college. They both moved from small towns and were trying to find a house they could afford once they got out of
college.

While Buck and my dad went through these perseverance events they both had persistence and were determined to persevere. Buck and my father both moved from small towns to bigger cities. My dad didn’t move very far and moved with people he knew. Buck was taken to a place he has never seen before and didn’t know a single person. They both had to work hard to succeed at what they were trying to accomplish. While they had to work hard at different things my dad had to study more and pass a test to become a teacher. On the other hand Buck had to work hard just to survive. While Buck and my dad their differences they both found love in these challenging times. Buck found love with his owner John Thornton As my dad was graduating college, working, trying to move and find a house he was also getting ready to get married.

In conclusion everybody goes through challenging events and are forced to persevere to keep moving forward in life. Buck and my father were both trying to persevere in difficult times they both used determination and hard work. Although my father’s troubling events were tough but he was not fighting to survive like Buck in Call Of The Wild. All in all in life you must persevere through difficult times in order to survive and live.
