    The departure stage is the first stage that starts the hero’s journey. The call to Adventure is the first part of the hero’s journey. (Campbell 41). The call to adventure is as it sounds the point where something happens that causes the hero to begin his or her quest, it’s the most pivotal moment that the hero has at the start of the journey. Wright has his call to adventure when he enrolls in the University of Wisconsin in the engineering program that they had. Wright ended up dropping out after a few semesters and at the time that he does, he moves to Chicago (Huxtable 41-42).
