Chapman's Conversation With Anderson Case Study
1. What do you think of the way Chapman handled the accusations from Peters and his conversation with Anderson? How would you have handled them?

I think that Chapman was both right and wrong about what he did. He met in private with Anderson to discuss the matter and let her know that Peters was uncomfortable with her showing affection for Peters, that part was right. What was wrong is that in the conversation he included “We don’t think it’s right for people of different races to pursue each other romantically at this hospital.”, it would have saved him a lot of trouble if he had not said that. He should have been more careful with the words he used. Also, it was wrong that Chapman did not meet with Peters to talk about the situation; he

James Craig Anderson was an African American male, in his late forties, who was murdered in what was classified as a hate crime. In Jackson, Mississippi on a Sunday morning, June 26, 2011, a group of white teenagers had been drinking all night and were on a mission, specifically seeking out a black person to cause harm to. James Anderson happened to be in a parking lot, near his car, when the group of teenagers pulled up and started to beat him while yelling racial slurs at him as well as yelling, “White power”. The teens then proceeded to hop in their truck and encouraged the driver to run over the victim, James Anderson, causing his immediate death. James Anderson was a well loved and respected member of his community, who attended church…

The vast world of technology is at your finger tips, should you accept it or not? A new chip that can be installed into people and would grant them unlimited online resources is at your disposal, such as the feed implant that is widely used in the novel Feed by M. T. Anderson. In the novel the feed implant is something those who can afford it get when they are infants and gives them access to all the information in the world and be able to chat anyone, play video games, and do your shopping on it. It has taken out the need for most of the technology we use today. I would purchase and install that new chip inside of myself because it has many benefits from it.…

The most interesting example to me was the sex role reversal in nature example of seahorses. Male seahorses take on the role of the caregivers instead of the females in nature, which was once believed to be the opposite of the “structure” of nature, the female seahorses are the ones who look for a male who is interested in them, so they are the ones hunting for a mate. This is interesting to me, because what is happening here is the opposite of what human beings believed was the order of “life” for a large frame of human history. We have proof that nature can go against our socially accepted norms. It has always been a widespread belief that females are the ones…

This situation is very interesting. The staff member clearly values Dr. Barker's opinion as a professional and as a friend. I was always taught to have a passion with my career so it wouldn't feel like "work". In today's society, individual have the wrong values. They prefer a career that pays a lot of money but doesn't offer happiness. However, that's not the case with this specific staff member. I love how the staff wants to work in a field that makes her happy, but I question her husband's desires. There's a few factors to consider with this situation. I would think the husband is unsatisfied with his wife's salary because she's "breadwinner" in the home. Also, he may be upset with his salary so he hides by pressuring…
