Today project management involves much more, and people in every industry and every country manage projects. New technologies have created a higher demand for businesses. Project management is a great significance for project involving information technology. Government’s and nonprofit organizations are recognizing to be successful, the need to be conversant with and use project management technique. Individuals in the work field are realizing that developing good skills helps in the workforce and many concepts of project management helps with everyday lives.

A project is a temporary endeavor undertaken to create a unique product, service, or result. Projects are not operations. Projects end when objectives are reached or had been terminated. Attributes of a project are the following:
A project has a unique purpose
A project is temporary
A project is developed using a progressive elaboration
A project requires resources, often from various areas
A project should have a primary customer or sponsor
A project sponsor provides direction of funding the project
A project involves uncertainty
As stated above projects are temporary and every day operations is work done in organizations to sustain the business.
