In the beginning of the story Marcus and Eddie were two best friends playing basketball and robbing people for money. Later on in the book Marcus heads off to jail when Eddie was the one who pointed the gun at the people and wanted to rob them. Marcus saved his best friend Eddie’s life and he did not tell the police/officers that Eddie was the one with the gun and robbing the innocent people at night.
4. Marcus and Eddie’s reaction to the film The Count of Monte Cristo was that in the film there were scenes of a hero sword fighting and how a friend turned on away from his other friend. That scene relates with Eddie and Marcus and how either Marcus would let Eddie down and criticize/blame him about the robbing or if Eddie will let Marcus down. In the book Marcus had a choice to criticize his Eddie but he didn't.
5. After Marcus heads off to prison and Eddie goes to a college on a basketball scholarship, I would say that Eddie is better off than Marcus because he is going to a nice college and he doesn't have to go to jail with Marcus. It was wrong for Marcus to go to jail when technically Eddie was the person with the gun and robbing people and Marcus was being a good friend and not criticizing Eddie and telling the officers/police that Eddie robbed the people and he had the gun.
